Solar car #16145

Sustainable energy has to be one of the most important issues that we have to face. The solar car kit is a great place to start. Aimed at upper Primary and middle school.
We have put together the best solar panel we can find – 2 volt, 900MA, to power a solid high torque motor for a whole range of applications. Learn and experiment with photovoltaics.
The kit comes complete with curriculum-related teacher resources, and is teacher-friendly, with cross-curriculum links, especially with science, technology, maths and art/craft. Students can experiment to design and construct energy-efficient vehicles.

Kit contains the following:
· A strong, durable 2volt 900mA silicon solar panel
· Motor
· a second motor attached to a gearbox and drive axle.
· 2 gears, 2 pulleys and 1 belt, 1 propeller
· Axles and axle guide tubes
· 4 wheels (2 large and 2 small)
· chassis base and template
· battery holder, 2 connecting wires with alligator clips
· Instructions and challenging activities

All the materials are here to build the solar-powered dragster, the belt-driven car, the propeller-driven windy car, the heavily-geared off-roader and more. The only limit is your imagination.
