The Solar House Kit contains the basic equipment – solar panels, motor, fan, light bulb, wiring. You make the house and install the equipment. Comprehensive instructions and extension ideas included. Measure and mark out the design on cardboard, then: · construct the house · discover the effect of orientation to the sun, eave overhang, landscape gardening. · investigate double glazing, ceiling insulation, wall colours, effects of drafts through gaps · research a passive solar hot water system, solar photovoltaic system for generating light and power, · try wind power generation. Along the way there’s maths, science, technology, design and measurement just to scratch the surface. The activities are only limited by your imagination. Features: · house design.
